The new 2009's tracks present a decrease in percentage of paved roads and a increase of difference in height to satisfy the "purists". That will make the "Rensen" harder than before to be rightly called the "Italian Mercantour". The track is carefully signalled by the "Gran Trail Rensen" organisation and it is easily visible thanks to a pre-existent network of marking by F.I.E. (Federazione Italiana Escursionismo) and “Mare Monti" walk organisation. Along the tracks you can find many well signalled springs.

Departure from Via Bocca - Arenzano

The race starts from Via Bocca and through viale Rimembranze reaches the  "Gesu' Bambino" Sanctuary with the Saracean Tower and after 2 bends the English tracks, which along a white road - within 2 km - leads to the "Agueta" site (km 4). From here we walk a white roads till the "Passo Gua" (km 5,25). We follow the track towards the "Ponte Negrone" (km 7,25) till a fork where we meet a small cemented road ("case Checchelli"). On the right we go down a rapid slopewhich leads to the industrial area in the "Campo" site. After reaching the "Argentea" farm holidays we turn right for "Ponte delle Ratte" and the following Lerca Saint Anna Chapel. We walk an asphalted road for about 700/800 metres and we areach the beginning of the Rama Mountain rise AV segnavia FIE bollo rosso (●). Then we reach a fork with a white road (km 14.20). We walk the road immediately on the left till to lead the surrounding of a holding tank and then we turn right, mountain side, mountain side, following the ◊ (empty red burdle). By going up the "Rio Scorza" valley we reach the Eastern slope of the "Scarpeggin" hill, the Southern-Eastern of the "Nespu" stone, the Southern slope of the "Montebello" hill, the Ciarin house well-spring , the Vatterasca Rocks and the "Pra' riundo" shelter (km 20.5). We are on the High Way of the Ligurian Mountains. Here we found the first time cheking and the first drink refreshment. Walking towards East (█AV█mark) we reach the "Prato Ferretto" Pass and from there towards the South, the top of the Rama Mountain (km 23.2).
Here the first technical downhill of the whole track starts (please, pay attention for the first 400 m !!!). From the top (red circle mark ● ) we go down till the cross of two high voltage pylons, this area is called "Curletti". Here we go on on to the left and then, after 100 m,  we reach the fork with the track signalled by 2 red line =, we walk it till the fork we meet on the right (Vallescura km 29.4) which within short time reaches a old shepherds' house called "Segage". From here we go on towards the North (▲ mark) till the "Padre Rino Leveasso" shelter (drink refreshment).
From here, we walk the A track and we reach at first the "Collettassa" and then, after a very hard slope, the Argentea Mountai top (white star mark). After about 450 m we reach the homonym shelter (ristoro idrico). We are again on the High Way ( █AV█mark), we walk about 500 m towards the East direction ("Crocetta" Pass), till reaching on the right the track signalled by a white "M"(Mare Monti Arenzano). The track, after passing the Leone and Saiardo well-springs leads to the "Ca' da Gava" km 38 (drink/food refreshment and time checking – by 2.00 pm). From here we go up towards N/W (segnavia X rossa) till to reach the Reixa Mountain top and then, after a easy downhill, the "Faiallo" Pass. We walk the High Way once again (█AV█ mark) till the Barnè's saddle (km 46), by passing through the South side of the "Bric del Dente" top. On the asfalted road we walk towards West for about 300 m till the fork with the track to "Fiorino" km 51.4 (two red crosses ++). Please, attention to the fast downhill!!!!!!.
After about 5 km we reach Fiorino small village and ,we reach the square where twe find the bus terminus (time cheking point by 5.00 pm) then we go down to the right, on the  river side  (♦red rumble mark) e after a hard slope among the houses and aa following a scenic white road we reach "Soggi" houses.  From here, SW direction, we reach a small Chapel (Madonnina) where the track which leads to Sambuco starts (km 55.8) and after 2 km we reach Sambuco (you can beneft from the well-spring located on the Church square). We follow the path signalled by a red empty square □ which after 3 km reaches the "Malanotte" fork. By following the 2 red circles mark●● we go down till to reach the "Gava" pass once again (km 60). Qui ancora controllo orario (max ore 20.00) e ristoro alimentare- idrico.
Through the mark X towards the South-East direction, we go up towards Tardia Pass and then we go down towards the former "casa del dazio" (duty house), the South slopes of the Pigheuggiu Bric, the East sllope and North of the Pennone Mountain and a cross with a white road. Then we go on towards South-West till to meet a holding tank (Lelua wellspring) km 65. From here, an easy white road with breath-taking view leads at first to the former "telemetro" and then - after 2 bends - to the meet a track which leads to some ruins from there we enter the track which goes down towards the sea. After some cultivated terraces we go down the motorway bridge and by a walking a old  path we reach the Olivete Church. Our race is over and in a few hundreds metres we willl reach our goal.
